I am a painterly collage artist who likes to reinvent images and their meaning that I search out from various sources. I look to the internet, popular periodicals and magazines to lift and collect images that I work with. In my current series I am using the images gathered from 3D animated sources which I have displaced from their film intention and torn apart and put back together and collaged into a 2D painting.   I  enjoy the idea of taking something born out of a highly technical and electronic foundation and stripping the creative process to the bare essentials of cutting and pasting and paint application. I am also recycling old torn up works from the bin of “unsuccessfuls” and exploring strange juxtapositions with these creating new characters, meanings and scenarios, within an unintended environment.
